CTPAT Introduces New Logo for Validated Small Businesses
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has introduced a new logo for small businesses validated under the CTPAT program. The initiative aims to recognize their commitment to international supply chain security and provide them with a distinctive way to showcase their participation in the program.
In July 2026, the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program announced the introduction of a new logo, known as CTPAT Validated Small Business, designed specifically for small businesses participating in the supply chain security initiative.
This new designation allows eligible companies to highlight their status as validated CTPAT partners in their corporate communications and promotional materials.
According to CBP, the logo is available to businesses with 499 employees or fewer, provided they meet the program's eligibility requirements.
Which Companies Are Eligible to Use the New Logo?
The logo is intended exclusively for small businesses that have successfully completed the CTPAT validation process and meet CBP's company size criteria.
It is important to note that CTPAT validation does not automatically authorize a company to use the new logo. Interested businesses must first obtain permission from CBP through a licensing agreement.
How to Request Authorization to Use the Logo
Validated CTPAT partners interested in using the new logo must complete the following steps:
Submit a request by email. Send an email to ctpatlogo@cbp.dhs.gov, including the company's name and CTPAT account number.
Wait for eligibility verification. CTPAT will confirm that the company has validated status and meets the applicable size requirements.
Sign the licensing agreement. Once eligibility has been verified, CTPAT will send the agreement, which must be signed by the Primary Company Officer / Main Point of Contact registered with the program.
Obtain CBP approval. The company must return the signed agreement so that CTPAT can approve it by countersigning it.
Receive the official logo file. Once the agreement has been approved, CTPAT will provide the logo's graphics file for use in accordance with the licensing terms.
Where Can Companies Use the New Logo?
Once authorization has been granted, eligible businesses may incorporate the logo into various materials to communicate their participation as validated CTPAT small business partners.
Permitted uses include:
Corporate promotional items, such as coffee mugs and pens.
Business materials, brochures, flyers, and business cards.
The company's website.
All uses of the logo must comply with the terms and conditions established in the licensing agreement issued by CBP.
What Should CTPAT Partners Keep in Mind?
The introduction of this new logo provides validated small businesses with an additional way to communicate their participation in the CTPAT program and demonstrate their commitment to international supply chain security.
Companies interested in using the logo should verify that they meet the eligibility criteria and complete the authorization process before incorporating it into their corporate materials.
